About PACE: Leading the Fight for PANS and PANDAS

The PACE Foundation is a national leader in CPAE (Children's Postinfectious Autoimmune Encephalopathy) research and advocacy. We collaborate with world-class medical institutions to establish a network of specialized clinics dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of neuroimmune disorders like PANS and PANDAS. Our mission is to ensure every child has access to life-changing care and a path back to their baseline.

Our Mission

Advancing Treatment for Pediatric Neuroinflammation

CPAE Clinic Network Development & Specialized Care

We’re building a global network of multidisciplinary centers where PANS/PANDAS specialists collaborate on evidence-based treatment. By establishing these specialized medical clinics, we ensure that families have access to the expert, coordinated care required for complex neuroimmune disorders.

Driving PANS/PANDAS Clinical Trials

Our mission is to secure the evidence-based data necessary to establish standardized PANS treatment protocols and advance care for pediatric neuroinflammation. By facilitating landmark studies like the global IVIG trial, we can improve the future for children with CPAE disorders.

Physician Education & PANS Awareness

We’re closing the gap in pediatric neurology by providing physicians with specialized resources. From recognizing the first signs of abrupt onset neuropsychiatric symptoms to implementing multidisciplinary care, PACE is here to support healthcare providers in the fight for PANS and PANDAS.

Evidence-Based Treatment for Pediatric Neuroinflammation

As a leading medical research non-profit, we promote and participate in studies that provide physicians with improved PANS PANDAS diagnostic protocols and effective treatment options. Our goal is to stay at the forefront of pediatric neurology, ensuring children with neuroinflammation get back to being kids faster.

PANDAS Advocacy: Fighting for Fair Public Policy

We’re on the front lines of PANDAS advocacy, developing programs focused on critical issues like insurance reimbursement for PANS/PANDAS and patient confidentiality. We work tirelessly to remove barriers to specialized care and ensure that public policy supports the needs of every affected child.

Funding Research for Pediatric Autoimmune Disorders

Through strategic philanthropy for rare pediatric diseases, we secure the critical funds needed to invest in neuroimmune disorder research. This support ensures a seamless transition of care between specialized CPAE clinics and a child's local pediatrician, keeping the patient's recovery as the top priority.

Our Story

The PACE Foundation has made significant strides in a short time, driven by relentless advocacy and the generous support of donors nationwide. Our mission remains focused on expanding access to specialized medical clinics and advancing pediatric neuroinflammation research.
