Treasurer & Executive Board Member
Lee Miller
Lee has served as PACE’s liaison for Arizona’s Legislature and Department of Health Services (DHS) to promote and educate leaders on Children’s Postinfectious Autoimmune neurological disorders. His advocacy has helped to secure vital funding, including $250,000 grant from DHS, for basic medical, clinical and advanced research to improve the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases associated with CPAE. The government’s support has enabled PACE to create an awareness program to further educate patients and sponsors/ donors on recent and improved treatments.
Lee’s vast experience in government relations is vital for keeping PACE in the legislature’s forefront to secure essential state and federal support for finding a cure. Lee also serves to communicate with other state department officials in the locations where PACE is collaborating with top university medical colleges to open additional CPAE centers. Lee honed his government relations expertise as an attorney and partner at Miller, La Sota and Peters, PLC for 15 years, representing many clients to numerous state agencies. His devotion to developing PACE’s efforts for a strong government relationship stems from his understanding of the community hardship that underrepresented healthcare needs can create.
