The PACE Foundation
The PACE Foundation (PACE) is the national non-profit patient organization dedicated to improving the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life of persons with Pediatric Autoimmune Neurological Disorders through advocacy, education and research.
PACE helps individuals overcome these difficulties by providing accurate and timely information for patients and families living with Pediatric Autoimmune Neurological Disorders and offers valuable resources to these individuals. PACE also:
- Helps the patient and medical community gain a broader understanding of Pediatric Autoimmune Neurological Disorders through education and outreach efforts;
- Promotes, participates in and conducts research that has helped characterize Pediatric Autoimmune Neurological Disorders and given patients and physicians substantially improved treatment options;
- Addresses patient needs through public policy programs by focusing on issues such as insurance reimbursement, patient confidentiality, ensuring the safety and availability of immunoglobulin therapy and maintaining and enhancing patient access to treatment options.
PACE does not charge patients or healthcare professionals for the educational materials or local programming that it provides. This is possible because of the generosity of the donors and sponsors who make unrestricted gifts to PACE.
We are committed to the identification, prevention, development of treatments and possible cures for Pediatric Autoimmune Neurological Disorders. We strive to raise public awareness about these diseases and their effects on individuals, families and society. The PACE Foundation aims to be one strong voice to urge the government and private sector to listen to our concerns and take action to address this urgent global health crisis.
